Eurovent caravan porch awnings are affordable and stylish. They are another well known brand in the caravan world, and have been on the scene for many years. Probably not as well known as some of the others, but they do have quite a loyal following. Their customers keep coming back, so it does show they make some very good designs that are well thought out, with the needs of the customer in mind.

The Eurovent awning range comprises of 5 porch awnings, from the cheapest to the most expensive. All of them offer something different, so you will find an awning to cater for your needs without too much trouble at all. First up we have the Eurovent Space Light, and at just £93 it is a bargain buy. It is also one of the fastest selling porch awning of all time. It will fit caravans between 235-250 cms in height and features 3 door panels with a zip out front panel and 2 ventilated side panels. It is made from hard wearing polyester and has built in storm straps. The whole thing weighs just over 9 kgs, so it is very compact and easy to store on your travels. A basic but very popular porch awning that delivers on style and durability.

The Eurovent Sierra is next in the series and costs about £100. It features polyester coated walls and roof, and 3 panels that have windows and doors. All the windows have netting to keep insects at bay, and there is a strong steel pole and storm straps so it can withstand heavy weather conditions. It is rare to find such a cheap awning that is as durable as this. The front can be zipped out for better access, and a draught skirt is also included. The Sierra is also a decent size, at 2.2 metres by 2 metres. It will fit caravans of 235-250 cms.

The Anjou is a compact little porch awning that is very stylish and extremely durable. It costs about £250 and is designed for harsh weather conditions. It comes in 3 different colour schemes, and the extra costs is down to the higher grade polyester material it is made from. The front panel can be removed to create a veranda set up, and the frame is made of steel.

The Eurovent Chamonix is a superior level porch awning made from an all alloy frame and high grade polyester. The walls are made from acrylic for better breathability and heat resistance. The rear height is adjustable so it will fit caravans between 235 and 250 cms in height. The front and side panels can also be removed for access. A very stylish little porch awning for the money.

The final awning in the range is the Eurovent Veranda, which gives a large size living space of 3.5 metres by 2.5 metres. It has TenCate PVA coated roof panels and acrylic walls. Ten Cate is regarded as one of the best materials on the market, and the price reflects this, at around £430. The panels can all be removed to give different positions, and the frame is an alloy one for even more strength and durability, as well as making it lighter. There are also some optional extras including an annex and a tall size annex. It represents a very good little awning at a good price.

Eurovent are at the front of technology, and always make sure their porch awnings are well made and will last in real world conditions. The prices are certainly affordable, and they are rapidly making a good name for themselves.

Bradcot are based in Bradford and make and design all their own caravan porch awnings themselves. They are made in the UK, unlike some of the cheaper awnings that are manufactured in the Far East. Bradcot take pride in the quality and versatility of their awnings, and this shows in the final product. They have a well organised network of dealers who are very knowledgeable and helpful. With a wide range of models in the line up, they are very well respected and a popular choice with many caravan owners all over the country. The prices reflect the quality, and although they are a bit more expensive than others, they give durability and quality throughout the entire range.

The Bradcot caravan porch awning range features 4 designs, which vary in price and usability, but they all offer something for everyone. The first awning is the Portico which is the most basic in the range. It takes only a few minutes to set up, and offers a small space to store muddy boots and clothes. The prices begin at around £299 from Bradcot Direct. The Portico is very sturdy and strong, with TenCate material which is heat resistant and one of the best materials around. It has 3 sides that can be rolled up to convert to a sun canopy. All sides have windows, and the sloped roof helps to deflect rain water. The standard frame is steel, but you can opt for alloy for more money. It will fit caravans between 230-250 cms high. It also comes in 3 different colours to suit your taste.

The Bradcot Portico + is a bigger version of the standard Portico, and covers a floor space of 6 feet by 8 feet, so you get a decent amount of room in there. The price is about £399 and it has the same TenCate material and acrylic dyed walls. The 3 panels all roll up to make a canopy or veranda if needed, and the front panel can be completely removed. There are windows on each side as well. An alloy frame can be bought instead of the steel frame that is standard. The benefit is that alloy is lighter and stronger, and also more resistant to the weather so it will last much longer. There is also a 10 year anti fade guarantee with this porch awning.

The Portico XL is the third in the Portico series and is the biggest of the 3 by far. The XL is the best selling Bradcot awning and it offers the benefits of a full size awning without the high price tag. The price is £579 but it is top quality we are talking about here. The size is 11 feet by 8 feet, so there is huge living space, and this can be extended with the optional annexes that are available for this porch awning. All the sides can be removed or customised, and they all have very large windows and doors for easy access. One side has a mesh ventilation for better breath-ability and air flow into the awning space. The annex can be fitted to either side, and there is a standard and taller extension to choose from. All told, this is just like having a full size caravan awning.

The Bradcot Atrium 35 is a five sided porch awning that gives the benefits of having a full size awning, but it really does look very special indeed. One of the most stylish porch awnings on the market today, and it has won many rave reviews from the trade shows along the way. The price is £649 for the 35, which has a projection of 3.5 metres, hence the name. There is also the Atrium 45 which is 4.5 metres, and this will set you back about £699. The 3 front panels are basically just very big windows, and they can be moved around with not too much fuss. The back panels have ventilation mesh in them. Because these awnings are very large, you need at least 4.1 metres of flat awning rail to fit them. The material is again, TenCate and fade resistant dye is standard. You can opt for the allot frame for more strength and durability if you want.

Bradcot porch caravan awnings are some of the best designed awnings you will find on today’s market. The Atrium awnings are also two of the best looking designs around. The quality is top notch on all the models, and they are certainly built to last. The prices reflect the quality standards that Bradcot have built their reputation on.

Sunncamp are a big name brand in the caravan awning market, and have been around for a number of years now. They also make motorhome awnings and larger caravan awnings, but they do have an extensive range of porch awnings in their series. You can view all the things that they make at the sunnflair web site, which has a comprehensive list of all their products such as tents and accessories. They are well trusted name, and their products have won many awards and get good reviews in the trade magazines.

The Sunncamp Scenic Plus is the entry level awning and costs around £90. It is 275 by 200 cms, and is made from synthetic polyester. The frame is reinforced fibre and it weighs just 9.5 kgs. The two side panels both have windows and curtains, and the front can be rolled up or zipped for access. There are adjustable straps and high visibility guidelines for pegging out. A basic awning at a reasonable price.

Next we have the Ultima 260 and the 260 Plus, which are around £140 and £180 respectively. Both look the part, and will fit caravan awning rails of between 230-245 cms in height. There are two front panels with large windows and privacy curtains. These panels can be rolled up, and there is a side door as well. The curved lines of these awnings are what sets them apart, and this prevents rain water building up on the roof. The walls are made from reinforced polyester, so you have a bit more durability with these. Other standard accessories are a fly screen and a draught skirt. Many places have sold out of these models, so this gives an indication of just how popular they are.

The Sunncamp Comtempo is a hoop style awning that is hugely popular with many people. Most retailers have already sold out unfortunately. The price is £145 and for this you get two side doors with mesh screens, a very large front door, two side panels that are basically just full size windows. This porch awning does let the maximum amount of light in, which is its best feature. It will fit caravans between 240-255 cms, and weighs only 10.8 kgs. It has fibreglass poles and the material of the roof and side walls is polyester canvas. The shape makes it very good at withstanding wind and rain, and is very stylish to look at. One of the best om the market.

The Vision XL comes in at close to £200 and is a very large porch awning for the money. It offers loads of space within a more rounded design. The front door is huge, and it has two side panels with doors for access. There are three large windows which all come with curtains. The poles are fibreglass and it really does look very good. It is lightweight at just 13.6 kgs and there are many optional extras that go with it if you want to customise it in the future.

The Sunncamp Ultima 390 Plus is the biggest porch awning in the range and is the closest thing to having a full size awning, but without the price tag. It costs about £215 and gives you 10 square metres of floor space. For this kind of money it is hard to beat. Three front roll up panels are the main feature, but you also have 2 side panels with access doors. An inner tent is available for creating sleeping quarters if needed, and it does not cost much for it either. It now comes with extra back supports to give it more stability. An excellent choice for the larger family who are looking for an affordable lightweight porch awning.

The Solara is the first of the full porch awnings and you can see the extra technology that has gone into the design. It offers very good living space, and can be used for longer holidays due to its stability. You can choose between fibreglass or aluminium poles, but both are simple to erect with the instruction manual. It has the Vario pegging system and the optional storm mate kit if needed. A high quality awning, and new for the season.

The Eclipse is a universal awning that has the latest sunncamp technology, much like the Solara. The walls are acrylic coated with the new sunntex technology, so they are water proof and breathable at the same time. The support poles feature the quick lock system, so it is an easy awning to work with. The front and side panels can be rolled up to create a veranda when the sun is shining.

Overall the Sunncamp range is one of the best around. The prices are very reasonable and the technology is right up there with the best of the rest. As quite a few of these awnings have sold out, it can be difficult to actually get your hands on them. This tells how well received they are. You will not go far wrong with a Sunncamp porch awning.

Starcamp are a subsidiary of Dorema, and they specialise in making more affordable caravan awnings. The prices are very cheap, but they are still of good quality. They are a popular alternative to the more expensive caravan porch awnings and are best suited to fair conditions. For the space they create they are well worth the expense. There are many dealers around the UK as well, so you can always call in and see them in person if you are planning on buying anything, or have any problems with your awning. Starcamp are one of cheapest around by a mile, and offer affordable awnings. Their ranges are very complete, with basic model to the more elaborate, depending on your budget.

The first in the line up is the Fun and Fun Plus, which are the most basic awnings. They are best suited for overnight stays or for touring, and are made to fit caravans of 235-250cms in height. The prices are very low, with the Fun coming in at about £90 and the Fun Plus at £105. For this kind of money you get a door on the left and right sides, and the roof is angled to stop any rain water building up. The poles are reinforced fibre and you also get mesh ventilation on both sides. They both look very modern, with their sweeping curves and stylish colour schemes. The Fun weighs just 8 kgs, so it is easily transported and doesn’t take up much room.

Next we have the Starcamp Sport Plus, which is a bit bigger than the Fun series, and it will set you back around £120. It has two doors and mesh ventilation, and is made from a higher grade polyester which gives it a bit more durability than the Fun and Fun Plus. It comes in a choice of 3 colours and weighs 9.5kgs. Again, it is ideal for short stays and weekend breaks, and at the price it offers terrific value for money.

The Contempo is a tunnel style caravan porch awning , with a two hoop design that gives it more stability. It also offers good living space if needed. The frame is reinforced fibreglass, and there is front door that can be zipped up or rolled out for better access. It will caravans up to 250cms in height, and the best part is that it is very lightweight at just 10.5kgs. Prices are about £150, and this is from the Starcamp official web site who have some very good deals on at the moment.

Next we have the Magnum 260 and the 390 and the numbers relate to the sizes. The 260 costs £170 and 390 is £230. They are both well made and offer a large amount of space, especially the 390. They are made from ripstop polyester material and the flexible rod system means they can take adverse weather conditions. The 390 can also be used with an inner tent, which is only £30 and will give you another berth, ideal for unexpected guests. Both look very stylish indeed, and are one of the most popular Starcamp caravan awnings. Another advantage is that they only take minutes to set up.

The Starcamp Ranger is the most stylish in the range, and looks very futuristic. This design makes it very stable in windy conditions, and it is one of the best vaule lightweight porch awnings for the price. It costs just £190 and has two doors and a zip out front panel. It also has aluminium roof supports along with the reinforced fibre support poles. It weighs in at just 11kgs and will fir caravans up to 250cms high.

The last to in the range are the Alpha and the Quattro, and both of these are the top of the range, offering the most luxury and space. The Alpha has steel support poles and the rook is made from coated polyester, whilst the walls are made from breathable acrylic, which is great in hot weather. It features the safe lock system, and is very easy to erect. There are two side panels that both have windows and can be rolled up, as can the front panel to create a veranda. The prices start at only £260.

The Quattro has the same technology as the Alpha but is slightly larger, at 275 by 200 cms. The front panel has two windows, which have privacy curtains as well. It has been designed to be easy to use, and with the option of the lightweight aluminium frame it certainly is. The price is around £300, and you will be hard pushed to find a better porch awning that offers as much as the Quattro for the price. Highly recommended.

Starcamp has gone from strength to strength in recent years. They offer low prices awnings but still manage to give good quality and durability. Even the lowest priced models have something to offer, and the stylish designs make them pleasing on the eye. Well worth a look at.

Isabella are another well respected awning manufacturer in the industry, and have been around for a long time. Their reputation has grown over many years, and this UK based company are thriving. Their awnings are of the highest quality, and you can see this is the design and construction. The after sales care is also very good, and there are many dealers spread across the country who you can contact. Isabella awnings are some of most stylish around and fit well in any situation and location. Thousands of caravanners swear by them, and they have a large following of loyal and happy customers. Their porch awning range is very good and complete, and you will certainly find the right awning for your needs. A little more epxensive than others, but you get that extra quality and peace of mind with Isabella.

First up we have the Isabella Snowboy, and this porch awning is designed for winter use. It may seem strange, but many people enjoy camping and travelling in the winter months. The scenery and views can be spectacular in winter, and very refreshing. The fact that you can use this awning in extreme weather should give you a clue as to its quality and durability. It has a sloped roof to stop any snow building on the roof, and strengthened support poles make it more secure. The windows have special foil that is designed to keep the cold out, and the entire canopy is amde from polyester that is both weather proof and strong. At the rear are draught proof connections, which comes in useful in the winter. The colour scheme is blue and white, and it looks very good when set up. It has two doors and an optional winter securing package. Expect to pay around £520 for the Snowboy.

The Isabella Minor Moonlight is a brand new awning for the season and has become popular in a short space of time. It features a large panoramic front panel that can zipped up or rolled up. It is designed for touring caravans and fitting is very straightforward. The two side panels have doors in them for access, and there is ventilation window with screen. The frame can be either zinox steel or carbon X, and the carbon is a higher grade material which is stronger yet lighter and will not corrode as quickly. Prices are about £670 for the standard steel frame, and rise to over £700 if you want Carbon X.

The Isabella Universal caravan porch awnings come in a variety of sizes, and are titled the 300, 320, 360 and 420. The numbers represent the size of the awning. They are made for spring and autumn trips, which are becoming more popular these days. They can be used all year round in fact due to the special features such as the sloped roof and extra large mud flaps. The seal to the side of the caravan is also excellent and this prevents drafts blowing through in cold weather. The colours and styling are a cut above the rest, and the sturdy steel or carbon frame are more than capable of holding it in place all year round. The flexible pegging out points are ideal for uneven ground and add even more stability to the awning. The front panel can be removed, and the windows all have curtains with them. Prices start at around £650 for the 300 and rise as you go up in size.

Next we have the Isabella Magnum which is very big for a porch awning, an really it is a part awning. It is over 3 metres long and 2.5 metres wide, so its a very generous space when set up. An annex can be added on either side for even more space. Both side panels and the front panel can be removed, and you have four doors contained within the canopy. It can fit caravans up to 250cms in height, and the frame is steel or carbon depending on which you specify. There is an internal mud flap and curtains with the windows. A top notch awning made from very good materials. Expect to pay about £780 for this one in standard form.

Isabella are a well known and well trusted awning manufacturer. Their range is very good and competitively priced for the luxury awning market. You can be sure you are getting a quality item with Isabella.

Dorema are one of the premium caravan awning manufacturers in the UK, and have a great reputation for their production of quality porch awnings. The big plus point with Dorema is the customer care, they do look after each and every customer. They have a dedicated phone line with instant access to their technicians, who will give you all the advice and information you need. If you are having problems, then give them a call. They have a wealth of awning experience, and have been making them for many years now. Their technology is one of the best in the business, and they come up with innovative and creative solutions for easy camping trips. All their caravan awnings are simple to use, and offer many practical alternatives if you want to customise them.

The Dorema porch range has four awnings to choose from, and they vary in price and specification. The first in the range is the Dorema Hilton, and this is made to fit caravans of 225-250cms in height. Remember all measurements are in centimetres. It features the fibre tech fibreglass frame which is anti corrosive, very strong and flexible. It is one of the easiest awnings on the market to set up. It also comes with the safe lock system which gives added stability in windy conditions. The canvas is Ten Cate, which is very durable and weather proof, so it will last you a long time, and not degrade and fade over time. You get two doors at either side of the awning for better access, and there are windows on all three sides for good viewing.

All these windows have privacy curtains. The front panel can be rolled up or zipped out to give a nice sun shade and allow easy access. The zips make the process even easier. Another useful addition is the reversible mud wall, that can be used inside or outside. This helps to protect the bottom of the awning. The Hilton is also free standing, so it does not attach to the side of the caravan. This gives you the freedom to move off site without taking the awning down, and the back supports are coated to protect your caravan. Free standing also stops any damage to your caravan in bad weather as there will be no pressure on the caravan walls.

The roof is slanted to allow water to fall away without puddling on the top, and the roof material is TenCate. The walls are made from acrylic which is very breathable and water proof. The weight is just 18kgs, so you can store it with ease when travelling. There are a variety of colours to choose, with blue and grey, green and grey, and finally burgundy and grey. Prices start at around £400 to about £450 depending on where you go.

The Dorema Laser is designed for more permanent use, and has the latest Ten Cate all season material which gives it even more durability and strength to survive the worst weather all year round. It makes it totally waterproof as well. It will fit caravans of 225-250cms in height, just like the Hilton and it weighs 21kgs, so it is a little bit heavier, but not by much. The Laser also has the easy grip quick system, which means there are only three parts to the entire awning set up. The support poles can be fitted in place with the strong clamps, and this makes the whole thing very safe and strong. Dorema technicians have developed this system over many years, and the result is very good indeed for awning owners.

The depth of the Laser is 2 metres, so you get some decent room inside for your things. The front panel can be zipped up or rolled up to give you a nice front space when the sun is shining. The side panels each have a door, and there are numerous windows on each side so you ill have no problem seeing outside. The frame is made from lightweight aluminium and is coated for extra protection from the elements. This is a well made and quality awning, that will not let you down. A fly screen is also there on the left side, and you have a ventilation flap to allow the air to circulate better. The prices begin at around £420 and rise to £470. Always have a good look at the different places because you will find the prices do vary from one place to the other. There are always sales going on, and may find it cheaper than this.

The next awning is the Dorema Toronto, and this just happens to be the most popular in the Dorema porch awning line up. It is the best seller by far. This awning has the fibre tech frame so it will last a very long time without much trouble. It will caravans up to 225-250cms just like the others will, but it is a bit bigger at 245cms depth. The front and ide panels all have windows and doors in them which can be altered. The front panel can also be zipped up or rolled up out of the way with ease.

It looks very stylish and is well designed for a lot of use. The quality materials mean this is a class above cheaper porch awnings, and is the reason why it is so popular with caravanners all over the country. The prices start at about £445, but it is well worth the money.

The last in the range is the Vitesse XL, and this is the most luxurious porch awning you find anywhere. It is designed for larger caravans, and has all the features of a full size awning but without the price tag. Think of it as an awning without the extra hassle of setting up al full size model. The main benefit of the Vitesse is that you can add a sleeping annex room to the side, so you have the ability to accommodate more people, and this can be a cost effective way of enjoying your travels. The fibre tech frame is standard, and you have removable front and side panels for better access, and if you want to create a sun canopy.

The annex can be fitted to either side of the main canopy, and this will cost around £250. It has a depth of 250 cms and is over 3 metres across, so you have a lot of extra space for the money. If you combine the Vitesse with the annex and the actual caravan space, then you do have a very large home from home. It weighs 26kgs, so it is not too heavy, and can be stored very easily. Prices are around £525 without the annex. If you want to save some money then you can always look for used models which should be considerably less.

Dorema have a nice range of awnings at affordable prices. All of them are quality products, and the prices reflect this. They are one of the most popular brands on the market, and many campers choose them for their caravans. Highly recommended for the ease of use, and also the after sales and support, which are never more than a phone call away.

A caravan porch awning is a simple and yet effective way to extend the living space of your caravan. You will find numerous designs and styles to suit most types of caravan, and many of them are very easy to attach. The fact that many of them are very lightweight means you will not have a problem storing them on your travels. A lot of campers use them as storage spaces to house dirty boots and clothing, or as a place to store other camping equipment. Others simply have them as protection from the weather when entering the caravan.

They come in various shapes and sizes, and are very versatile to your requirements. The model you go for will depend on the size of your caravan and what you intend using it for. Most porch awnings can be added to, with extra side and front panels to give you even more space. This comes in handy if you need more room, and avoids the cost of buying a larger awning. The manufacturers make it easy to customise them, but you should always seek a bit of guidance before you modify.

The most well known brands in the UK are probably Dorema, Isabella, Sunncamp and Starcamp although there are quite a few other makes that produce quality porch awnings. All these manufacturers have their own special features and fitting systems, so it is a good idea to a bit of researching before you buy. Your local dealer will be a good place to start, as they should be knowledgeable about awnings and the problems you may face. Online is another good place to get information, and there are many owners clubs and forums where you can get some tips and tricks, not to mention how these awnings are like to live with on a daily basis. It can save you a lot of time if you look a bit further than just the styling and the looks.

All porch awnings come in different sizes, so you need to measure the dimensions of your caravan before you start. The sizes are given in centimetres and include the height and length of the awning. If you are not sure what size you need to get, then go to a dealer who will measure it for you. This is vital that you get it right, otherwise you could end up with an awning that does not fit, and then the hassle of returning it. If you shop from an online store you will see that each awning has the size of caravan it is designed to fit. The height is the most important part of all. If you have a new caravan, or a modern one, then you will usually find the awning size dimensions in the manual, but if you have an older caravan then this may not be included. There are some online retailers that will give you a free measuring service if you tell them the make and model of your caravan.

The materials are also important, you can buy steel poles and supports, which are the cheapest option, but these will not last as long. Modern materials such as fibreglass and coated steel are far more durable and will not be susceptible to rust. Fibreglass is also much more flexible, and in high winds it will flex, unlike steel will may get damaged. The awning fabric should be robust and waterproof. You ideally want something that is breathable, so on hot days you will not be too uncomfortable. This also allows the sir to circulate much better, creating a cooling effect that runs through the awning and into the caravan itself.

Many porch awnings have front doors and windows for easy access and for viewing. If you need some privacy then look for windows that have curtains on them, or pull down covers that you can use at night. You may some valuable things stored in the awning so you don’t want people to see these in full view. Mesh screens can also help keep out insects and other flying nasties, and they are a good addition to any holiday. Many awnings have this option, so if the weather is warm were you are heading to, then look for this option.

Don’t forget the groundsheet and perhaps an inner tent or partition. You can use these sheets to keep any mud or dirt from entering the caravan area. It also helps if the ground is damp in the morning. Look for the shape of the awning roof as well. Flat roofs will allow any rain water to build up on top, and this can cause pressure to build on the support arms and tension poles, weakening them and reducing their life. You also don’t want a big puddle of water falling on you when you exit the porch awning. Modern designs have a sloped roof that can channel the water away, or you get a rain gutter that solves this problem.

If you plan on having more people with you then look for an awning that can be customised with ease. You will find that all it takes is attaching some side panels by way of a zip. This can instantly enlarge your living space, and is great if you have unexpected guests round. If you need to sleep more people then look for a privacy room or a safari room. These are additions that are relatively inexpensive and will sleep any number of people.

If you take the time to think about what you want out of your porch awning, then you should be fine. Awnings are a great way to accommodate people, and increase you space. They are fairly simple to erect if you follow the instructions, and getting used to them is vital. Try setting up before you leave for the camp site, this way you will know how things work. It also saves a lot of time when you get to camp if you know what you are doing. It may seen like common sense but you would be surprised how many caravan owners neglect this part to their cost. There is certainly no fun in trying to set something up in bad weather and finding you can’t do it efficiently. Practising at home on the driveway will iron out potential problems before they occur, and reduce any stress and arguing.
